The computer animation deals with the representation and rendering of moving three-dimensional objects in a computer; therefore it is sometimes called 4D computer graphics. Besides the treatment of some basic topics, the emphasis of the lecture computer animation lies on the representation of virtual people (avatars and animated agents).

Topics include:

  • Representation of Movements of Rigid Bodies
  • Forward and Inverse Kinematics
  • Animation of Faces
  • Motion Capture Systems
  • Searching in Motion Data
  • Editing of Motion Data
  • Cognitive Modeling Hierarchy

This year we will perform oral examinations for the lecture computer animation. Please use the following link to select a data and time slot for your examination.

Information about the Exercises

Attention: All exercise classes on Tuesday have to start 15 minutes earlier than announced in the TVS. We have to avoid a conflict with the later exercises for ATCG.

Remark: Please use your computer science mail adress ([userid]@cs.uni-bonn.de) for the registration in the TVS system. We need your userid to allow access to the computer pools.
