RefCurv: A software for the construction of pediatric reference curves

Abstract

In medicine, reference curves serve as an important tool for everyday clinical practice. Pediatricians assess the growth process of children with the help of percentile curves. The statistical methods for the construction of these reference curves are complex and their application often requires programming skills. An easy-to-use approach for physicians and life scientists is missing. The aim of this project was to develop RefCurv, an intuitive and user-friendly software for clinicians that simplifies the construction of reference curves for medical parameters.
