PhD Position in Computer Vision and Machine Learning

A PhD position (3 years) in computer vision and machine learning is available at the Institute of Computer Science II at the University of Bonn starting Jan. 2017 or later. Topics of interest include:

  • 3D scene understanding
  • human action / gesture / complex activity recognition
  • human pose / hand pose estimation

Candidates should have:

  • a degree in Computer Science or a related field (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Math)
  • strong mathematical background
  • extensive programming experience (C++ or Matlab or Python)
  • fluency in both written and spoken English
  • prior experience in computer vision or machine learning is a plus but not necessary
